Capstan accepted a Grand Prize Award in the Automotive—Engine Category. The 2019 powder metallurgy design excellence awards competition is a very prestigious competition for powder metal. The award was given for a compact brush-less D.C. actuator gear designed to optimize engine performance. The gear also helped reduce nitrogen oxide emissions for on-and off-road commercial diesel-engine vehicles.

Capstan introduces a new logo to the world for better brand recognition. Over the years Capstan has acquired businesses, grown organically, and moved into new markets. Our company name has become one of the most recognized powder metal companies in the world and now our logo will simply improve that recognition. The new Capstan logo represents the merging of two different particles during the sintering process.
